While at the museum, we we will be stimulated by the slides from Marilyn Houlberg's collection, as well as photos
of field work in Haiti from Melville Herskovits and George Eaton Simpson. These rare glimpses of art history will
be the right backdrop for our conference theme presenters. Dr. Legrace Benson, Dr Peter Haffner, Rod Heller,
John Sullivan, Larry Kent, & Jose Ze/aya.
On Tuesday, we will enjoy the Diaspora Expressions Expo exhibit "designed to unveil the hidden talents of artist in
the diaspore community' at the Embassy of Haiti. This is a perfect backdrop for part II of our continued panel
discussion. Join our panelists, Gerald Alexis, Toni Monnin, Edouard Duval -Carrie, -Mario Benjamin, Pascale
Monnin and Chole Bigio as we include perspectives from Haitian artists, gallery owners and on-line art platforms.
Our closing dinner will be a great place for reflection and fun at an eclectic DC restaurant as we dine with our
presenters and special guests. Join us for Haitian Jazz and share in some culinary art.
