Trees provide shade, purify the air, enhance quality of life, and inspire
poetry, but they also inspire maney lawsuits. In this workshop Jim will provide
participants with a framework to analyze tree law situations and help you
decide if you are qualified to handle tree law cases. Topics to be covered
include trees and adjoining landowners, trees and roadways, and rights and
responsibilities of landowners and arborists including duty of care, negligence,
and damages. Specific Iowa administrative statutes and case law will be
illustrated.
