RESOLUTION NO. 2021-028
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO PETERSON
CONTRACTORS, INC., OF REINBECK, IOWA, IN AN
AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $554,672.70, AND APPROVING
THE CONTRACT, BONDS, AND CERTIFICATE OF
INSURANCE IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY 2021
CENTER FOR THE ARTS PARKING IMPROVEMENTS
PHASE 3, NORTHWEST HALF PROJECT, CONTRACT NO.
1004, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK
TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, Peterson Contractors, Inc., of Reinbeck, Iowa, submitted a bid in the amount
of $554,672.70, in conjunction with the FY 2021 Center For The Arts Parking Improvements
Phase 3, Northwest Half Project, Contract No. 1004, and is the apparent low bidder, and
WHEREAS, Peterson Contractors, Inc., submitted a written contract, bond and certificate
of insurance, per the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said project with
Resolution No. 2021-012, after public hearing on January 19, 2021, in conjunction with the FY
2021 Center For The Arts Parking Improvements Phase 3, Northwest Half Project, Contract No.
1004.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of Peterson Contractors, Inc., in the amount of $554,672.70, in conjunction
with the FY 2021 Center For The Arts Parking Improvements Phase 3, Northwest Half
Project, Contract No. 1004, is hereby awarded.

3. That the contract, bond and certificate of insurance submitted by Peterson Contractors,
Inc., in conjunction with the FY 2021 Center For The Arts Parking Improvements Phase 3,
Northwest Half Project, Contract No. 1004, are hereby approved.
4. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
