RESOLUTION NO. 2014-615
RESOLUTION GRANTING REQUEST OF MATT BOYD FOR
A VARIANCE TO ORDINANCE NO. 3094, NOISE
ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, Matt Boyd is requesting a variance to the Noise
Ordinance on August 23, 2014 from 12 : 00 noon to 9 : 00 p.m. and
August 24, 2014 from 1: 00 p.m. to 6: 00 p.m. , in conjunction with
North End Arts and Music Fest to be held at the African American
Museum located at East 4th and Adams Street, including music and
the use of a PA system, and
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of Ordinance No.
3094, Noise Ordinance, and
WHEREAS, said Matt Boyd has made formal application for a
variance effective August 23, 2014 from 12 : 00 noon to 9 : 00 p.m.
and August 24, 2014 from 1 : 00 p.m. to 6: 00 p.m. , together with
recommendation and approval of Director of Safety Services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Matt Boyd for a variance to
Ordinance No. 3094, Noise Ordinance, on August 23, 2014 from
12 : 00 noon to 9: 00 p.m. and August 24, 2014 from 1 : 00 p.m. to
6: 00 p.m. , in conjunction with North End Arts and Music Fest to
be held at the African American Museum located at East 4th and
Adams Street, including music and the use of a PA system, be and
the same hereby granted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 28th day of July, 2014 .
