RESOLUTION NO. 2014-739
RESOLUTION APPROVING RECOMMENDATION OF AWARD
OF CONTRACT TO FRICKSON BROTHERS EXCAVATING
OF EVANSDALE, IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT NOT TO
EXCEED $17, 556. 00, AND APPROVING CONTRACT,
BONDS AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE SHERWOOD BOLLARD
INSTALLATION SERVICES .
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA:
That the Contract, Bonds and Certificate of Insurance with
Frickson Brothers Excavating of Evansdale, Iowa, in the amount
not to exceed $17, 556. 00, in conjunction with the Sherwood
Bollard Installation Services, described in the plans and
specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said
project in Resolution No. 2014-683, after public hearing on
August 11, 2014 on published notice required by law, be and is
hereby accepted, the same being the lowest bid received for said
work.
The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby directed to execute
contract with the said contractor for the construction of said
improvements, said contract not to be binding on the City until
approved by this Council.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 25th day of August, 2014 .
