RESOLUTION NO. 2014-730
RESOLUTION GRANTING REQUEST OF JIM KOCH FOR A
VARIANCE TO ORDINANCE NO. 3094, NOISE
ORDINANCE.
WHEREAS, Jim Koch is requesting a variance to the Noise
Ordinance on August 31, 2014 from 4 : 00 p.m. to 9: 00 p.m. in
conjunction with the University Avenue Cruise event to be held in
the parking lot at 3555 University Avenue, including music and
the use of a PA system, and
WHEREAS, said event will exceed the limits of Ordinance No.
3094, Noise Ordinance, and
WHEREAS, said Jim Koch has made formal application for a
variance to the Noise Ordinance on August 31, 2014 from 4 : 00 p.m.
to 9: 00 p.m. , together with recommendation of approval of the
Director of Safety Services.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Jim Koch for a variance to
the Noise Ordinance on August 31, 2014 from 4 : 00 p.m. to 9 : 00
p.m. in conjunction with the University Avenue Cruise event to be
held in the parking lot at 3555 University Avenue, including
music and the use of a PA system, be and the same hereby granted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 25th day of August, 2014 .
