RESOLUTION NO. 2016-155
RESOLUTION APPROVING APPLICATION TO THE CEDAR
TRAILS PARTNERSHIP IN THE AMOUNT OF $2, 500
WITH A $1, 500 MATCH BY THE CITY, FOR A
GRANULAR SURFACE TRAIL CONDITIONER.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO,
IOWA that grant application dated March 7, 2016, submitted by the
Leisure Services Department to the Cedar Trails Partnership, in
the amount of $2, 500 with a $1, 500 match by the City of Waterloo,
to purchase a granular surface trail conditioner to be used on
the newly constructed granular trail at Riverview Recreation
Area, the soon to be constructed granular trail at Sherwood Park,
and at any existing soft surface trail or parking lot where a
full sized road grader is not feasible, is hereby approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of March 2016.

RESOLUTION NO. 2016-156
RESOLUTION APPROVING TEMPORARY EASEMENT
AGREEMENT WITH MARILYN LIES FOR $146. 97
LOCATED AT 1409 EAST SHAULIS ROAD, IN
RELATION TO THE EAST SHAULIS ROAD
RECREATIONAL TRAIL EXTENSION FROM HIGHWAY 21,
EASTWARD TO ISLE OF CAPRI BOULEVARD.
WHEREAS, the Temporary Easement Agreement, dated March 7,
2016, pertains to the East Shaulis Road Recreational Trail
Extension from Highway 21, eastward to Isle of Capri Boulevard,
for the recreational trail extension, and
WHEREAS, the city of Waterloo, Iowa shall accept certain
temporary construction easements in conjunction with the east
Shaulis Road Recreational Trail Extension, from Marilyn Lies for
$146. 97 located at 1409 East Shaulis Road, and
WHEREAS, State Recreational Trails Grant and Transportation
Alternatives Program funds will be utilized to cover the cost of
the easement.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the temporary easement agreement with
Marilyn Lies, in conjunction with the East Shaulis Road
Recreational Trail Extension from Highway 21, eastward to Isle of
Capri Boulevard, is hereby approved.
