RESOLUTION NO. 2016-153
RESOLUTION APPROVING 28E AGREEMENT
WITH MIDDLE CEDAR WATERSHED MANAGEMENT
AUTHORITY AND AUTHORIZE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID
DOCUMENT.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO,
IOWA that the 28E Agreement dated March 7, 2016, between the City
of Waterloo, Iowa and the Middle Cedar Watershed Management
Authority, including the following counties : Benton, Linn, Black
Hawk, Tama, and Grundy, and the following cities: Cedar Falls,
Cedar Rapids, Evansdale, Hudson, LaPorte City, Vinton, Waterloo,
and Jesup, to establish a non-regulatory, non-taxing partnership
between the cities, counties, and soil and water conservation
districts within the Middle Cedar River Watershed for the stated
purposes of water quality and flood risk mitigation studies and
education and for the procurement of grants to assist in planning
and implementation efforts within the watershed, is hereby
approved and the Mayor is authorized and directed to execute the
same on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of March 2016.
