RESOLUTION NO. 2021-112
RESOLUTION AWARDING BID TO WOODRUFF
CONSTRUCTION, INC., OF WATERLOO, IOWA, IN THE
AMOUNT OF $3,587,300 (BASE BID + ALTERNATES 1, 2, 3,
AND 4), AND APPROVING THE CONTRACT, BONDS AND
CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE, IN CONJUNCTION WITH
THE FY 2021 SANITARY SEWER GATEWELL REPAIRS -
PHASE I PROJECT, CONTRACT NO. 951, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, Woodruff Construction, Inc., of Waterloo, Iowa, submitted a bid in the
amount of $3,587,300 (Base Bid + Alternates 1, 2, 3, and 4), in conjunction with the FY 2021
Sanitary Sewer Gatewell Repairs - Phase I Project, Contract No. 95, after public hearing on
February 15, 2021, and is the apparent low bidder.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of Woodruff Construction, Inc., submitted in the amount of
$3,587,300 (Base Bid + Alternates 1, 2, 3, and 4), in conjunction with the FY 2021 Sanitary
Sewer Gatewell Repairs - Phase I Project, Contract No. 95, is hereby accepted and awarded to
Woodruff Construction, Inc.
2. That the contract, bonds and certificate of insurance, in conjunction with the FY
2021 Sanitary Sewer Gatewell Repairs - Phase I Project, Contract No. 951, are hereby approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 1st day of March 2021.
