RESOLUTION NO. 2014-939
RESOLUTION APPROVING RECOMMENDATION OF AWARD
OF CONTRACT TO KWS, INC. OF CEDAR FALLS,
IOWA, IN CONJUNCTION WITH TRAFFIC SAFETY
IMPROVEMENTS AT THE INTERSECTION OF
ANSBOROUGH AVENUE AND DOWNING AVENUE, IN THE
AMOUNT OF $37, 400 . 00 .
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA:
That the Contract with KWS, Inc. of Cedar Falls, Iowa, in
the amount of $37, 400 . 00, in conjunction with Traffic Safety
Improvements at the Intersection of Ansborough Avenue and Downing
Avenue, described in the plans and specifications heretofore
adopted by this Council for said project with Resolution No.
2014-912 after public hearing on October 20, 2014 on published
notice required by law, be and is hereby awarded, the same being
the apparent lowest bid for said project.
The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby directed to execute
contract with the said contractor for the said improvements, said
contract not to be binding on the City until approved by this
Council.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 27th day of October, 2014 .
