RESOLUTION APPROVING RECOMMENDATION OF AWARD
OF CONTRACT TO FRICKSON BROTHERS EXCAVATING
OF EVANDALE, IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT OF
$52, 900 . 00, AND APPROVING CONTRACT, BONDS AND
CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE IN CONJUNCTION WITH
DEMOLITION AND SITE CLEARANCE SERVICES (NO
RACM) FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 67 FRANKLIN
STREET, 134 DEARBORN STREET, 520 COTTAGE
STREET, 820 FOWLER STREET, 420 DAWSON STREET,
AND 409 STATE STREET.
BE IT RE
SOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA:
That the Contract, Bonds and Certificate of Insurance with
Frickson Brothers Excavating of Evansdale, Iowa, in the amount of
$52, 900 . 00, in conjunction with Demolition and Site Clearance
Services (no RACM) for property located at 67 Franklin Street,
134 Dearborn Street, 520 Cottage Street, 820 Fowler Street, 420
Dawson Street, and 409 State Street, described in the plans and
specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said
project in Resolution No. 2014-916, after public hearing on
October 20, 2014 on published notice required by law, be and is
hereby accepted, the same being the lowest bid received for said
work.
The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby directed to execute
contract with the said contractor for the construction of said
improvements, said contract not to be binding on the City until
approved by this Council .
