RESOLUTION APPROVING RECOMMENDATION OF AWARD
OF CONTRACT TO LEHMAN TRUCKING AND EXCAVATING
OF WATERLOO, IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT OF
$48, 400 . 00, AND APPROVING CONTRACT, BONDS AND
CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE IN CONJUNCTION WITH
DEMOLITION AND SITE CLEARANCE SERVICES FOR
PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1423 HAWTHORNE AVENUE,
928 MULBERRY, 421 ALMOND, 717 VINTON AND 1013
LINCOLN STREETS.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA:
That the Contract, Bonds and Certificate of Insurance with
Lehman Trucking and Excavating of Cedar Falls, Iowa, in the
amount of $48, 400 . 00, in conjunction with Demolition and Site
Clearance Services for property located at 1423 Hawthorne Avenue,
928 Mulberry, 421 Almond, 717 Vinton and 1013 Lincoln Streets,
described in the plans and specifications heretofore adopted by
this Council for said project in Resolution No. 2014-624, after
public hearing on July 28, 2014 on published notice required by
law, be and is hereby accepted, the same being the lowest bid
received for said work.
The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby directed to execute
contract with the said contractor for the construction of said
improvements, said contract not to be binding on the City until
approved by this Council .
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of November, 2014 .
