RESOLUTION NO. 2015-407
RESOLUTION ACCEPTING WARRANTY DEED FOR THE
FORMER IRVING SCHOOL SITE FROM THE WATERLOO
COMMUNITY SCHOOLS, TO TAKE OWNERSHIP OF. THE
SITE FOR $1 . 00, WITH UP TO $500 IN CLOSING
COSTS .
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, has agreed to pay the
Waterloo Community School District $1 . 00 for the site plus up to
$500 in closing costs, and
WHEREAS, the Waterloo Community School District has offered
to allow the City of Waterloo, Iowa to take ownership of property
generally described as the former Irving Schodl Site, legally
described as follows :
THAT PART WARRANTY DEED DATED 12/22/1959 RECORDED IN
LAND DEED BOOK 123 PAGE 109, BEING A PART OF THE WEST
15 ACRES OF THE NORTHEAST QUARTER OF THE SOUTHEAST
QUARTER AND A PART OF THE EAST 5 ACRES OF THE NORTHWEST
QUARTER OF THE SOUTHEAST QUARTER, ALL IN SECTION NO.
33, TOWNSHIP NO. 89 NORTH, RANGE NO. 13 WEST OF THE 5 T
P.M. , WATERLOO, BLACK HAWK COUNTY, IOWA, DESCRIBED AS

School site, be transferred by Warranty Deed from the Waterloo
Community School District to the City of Waterloo for $1 . 00 plus
closing costs no to exceed $500, is hereby approved.
