RESOLUTION NO. 2021-168
RESOLUTION AWARDING BID TO LEHMAN TRUCKING
AND EXCAVATING, INC., OF WATERLOO, IOWA, IN THE
AMOUNT OF $72,942, IN CONJUNCTION WITH
DEMOLITION AND SITE CLEARANCE SERVICES AT 1004
FULTON STREET, 179 REBECCA LANE, 118 SHILLIAM
AVENUE, 421 LOGAN AVENUE, 154 HARRISON STREET,
AND 242 HOGLE STREET , APPROVING THE CONTRACT,
BOND, AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, Lehman Trucking and Excavating, Inc., of Waterloo, Iowa, submitted a bid
in the amount of $72,942, in conjunction with Demolition and Site Clearance Services, Contract
No. D-2021-03-06P, located at 1004 Fulton Street, 179 Rebecca Lane, 118 Shilliam Avenue, 421
Logan Avenue, 154 Harrison Street, and 242 Hogle Street, and is the apparent low bidder, and
WHEREAS, Lehman Trucking and Excavating, Inc., submitted a written contract, bond
and certificate of insurance, per the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said
project with Resolution No. 2021-167, after public hearing on March 15, 2021, in conjunction
with Demolition and Site Clearance Services, Contract No. D-2021-03-06P, located at 1004
Fulton Street, 179 Rebecca Lane, 118 Shilliam Avenue, 421 Logan Avenue, 154 Harrison Street,
and 242 Hogle Street.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of Lehman Trucking and Excavating, Inc., in the amount of $72,942, in
conjunction with Demolition and Site Clearance Services, Contract No. D-2021-03-06P, located
at 1004 Fulton Street, 179 Rebecca Lane, 118 Shilliam Avenue, 421 Logan Avenue, 154 Harrison
Street, and 242 Hogle Street, is hereby awarded.
2. That the contract, bond and certificate of insurance submitted by Lehman Trucking and
Excavating, Inc., in conjunction with Demolition and Site Clearance Services, Contract No. D-
2021-03-06P, located at 1004 Fulton Street, 179 Rebecca Lane, 118 Shilliam Avenue, 421 Logan
Avenue, 154 Harrison Street, and 242 Hogle Street, are hereby approved.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
