RESOLUTION APPROVING AN ACQUISITION CONTRACT
AND ACCEPTING A DEED FROM JUSTIN L. AND MAHALA
ELSE, IN THE AMOUNT OF $125, TO ACQUIRE 30 SQUARE
FEET OF RIGHT-OF-WAY AND 47 SQUARE FEET OF
TEMPORARY EASEMENT, FOR THE DOWNING-
ANSBOROUGH WIDENING PROJECT, LOCATED AT 903
DOWNING AVENUE, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA,
that the acquisition contract dated January 6, 2020, between Justin L. and Mahala Else and the
City of Waterloo, Iowa, in the amount of$125.00, to acquire 30 square feet of right-of-way and
47 square feet of temporary easement, for the Downing-Ansborough Widening Project, located at
903 Downing Avenue, and legally described as follows:
PARCEL DESCRIPTION: ACQUISITION PLAT
PART OF THE EAST 58 FEET OF LOT 6 IN MEADOWDALE SECOND FILING,
CITY OF WATERLOO, BLACK HAWK COUNTY, IOWA, DESCRIBED AS
FOLLOWS:
COMMENCING AT THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF SAID EAST 58 FEET OF LOT
6; THENCE, NORTH 89°18'19" EAST, 51.94 FEET ON THE SOUTH RIGHT OF
WAY LINE OF DOWNING AVENUE TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING; THENCE,
NORTH 89°18'19" EAST, 6.00 FEET ON SAID RIGHT OF WAY LINE TO THE
NORTHEAST CORNER OF SAID LOT 6; THENCE, SOUTH 0°29'02" EAST, 11.19
