The City of Waterloo will continue to hold City Council meetings as scheduled; however, in response to COVID-19,elected officials and city staff will participate via Zoom videoconferenc- ing. If Council chambers are closed to the public for City Council meetings due to health and safety concerns from COV- ID-19, the City Council meeting will be held electronically via Zoom.For informa- tion on how to participate in the electronic meeting,visit: hhps://www.cilyohvaterIwi owa.com/governmenVcity-muncilfin- dex.php or call the City Clerk's Office at 319-291-4323. SCOPE OF WORK The Contractor shall provide all labor and materials necessary to mow the designa- ted right-of-way areas in accordance with these plans and specifications. CONTRACT PERIOD The period of time covered under this proposed contract shall be the 2021-2023 growing season (approximately May tat to October 15th each year). PROPOSALS SUBMITTED All bids must be submitted on forms supplied by the Waterloo Leisure Serv- ices Commission.The bidder shall bid on a per unit price (WITH EACH "Option" treated as a separate unit)as shown on the Bid Fonn.Each unit should be bid as a stand-alone item and not merely as a component of a total bid package that includes all options together. BID SECURITY REQUIRED All bids must be accompanied, in a separate envelope, by a certified or cashier's check drawn on an Iowa bank chartered under the laws of the United Slates,or a certified share draft drawn on a Credit Union in Iowa chartered under the laws of the United States, or a bid bond payable to the City of Waterloo, Iowa, in the sum of Three Thousand Dollars($3,000.00),which certified check, certified share draft, or bid bond will be held as security that the Bidder will enter into a Contract for the mowing work and will furnish the required bonds. and in case the successful bidder shall fail or refuse to enter into the Contract and furnish the required bonds, the bid security may be retained by said City as agreed liquidated damages.If Bid Bond is *** Proof of Publication and ungumuna uy ww urc umua and the surely orrthe surety's agent.
