RESOLUTION NO. 2021-202
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO B & B
LAWN CARE, INC., OF WATERLOO, IOWA, IN THE
AMOUNT OF $53.73/ACRE OPTION A, $53.73/ACRE OPTION
C, AND TO PROFESSIONAL LAWN CARE, LLC, OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT OF $54.50/ACRE
OPTION B, IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE 2021-2023 RIGHT-
OF-WAY MOWING CONTRACT, APPROVING CONTRACT,
BONDS, AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, B & B Lawn Care, Inc. of Waterloo, Iowa, submitted a bid in the amount of
$53.73 per acre, Option A, and $53.73 per acre, Option C, and is the apparent low bidder for
Option A and C, in conjunction the 2020-2023 Right -of -Way Mowing Contract, and
WHEREAS, B & B Lawn Care, Inc. submitted a written contract, bond and certificate of
insurance, per the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said project with
Resolution No. 2021-201, after public hearing on April 5, 2021, in conjunction 2020-2023 Right -
of -Way Mowing Contract.
WHEREAS, Professional Lawn Care, LLC, of Waterloo, Iowa, submitted a bid in the
amount of $54.50 per acre, Option B, and is the apparent low bidder for Option B, in conjunction
the 2020-2023 Right -of -Way Mowing Contract, and
WHEREAS, Professional Lawn Care, LLC, submitted a written contract, bond and
certificate of insurance, per the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said project
with Resolution No. 2021-201, after public hearing on April 5, 2021, in conjunction the 2020-
2023 Right -of -Way Mowing Contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of B & B Lawn Care, Inc. in the amount of $53.73 per acre, Option
A, and $53.73 per acre for Option C, in conjunction with the 2020-2023 Right -of -Way Mowing
Contract, is hereby awarded.
2. That the bid of Professional Lawn Care, LLC, in the amount of $54.50 per acre,
Option B, in conjunction with the 2020-2023 Right -of -Way Mowing Contract, is hereby
awarded.
3. That the contracts, bonds and certificates of insurance submitted by B & B Lawn
Care, Inc., and Professional Lawn Care, LLC, in conjunction with the 2020-2023 Right -of -Way
Mowing Contract, described in the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said
project with Resolution No. 2021-201, after public hearing on April 5, 2021 on published notice
required by law, are hereby accepted and approved.
