RESOLUTION NO. 2021-204
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO THOMPSON
CONTRACTING COMPANY, LLC, OF MARSHALLTOWN,
IOWA, FOR OPTION A $1,300 PER OCCURRENCE, OPTION
B $1,300 PER OCCURRENCE, OPTION C $65.00 PER MAN
HOUR, OPTION D $75.00 PER MAN HOUR, AND
APPROVING THE CONTRACT, BONDS AND CERTIFICATE
OF INSURANCE, IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY 2022
COMPLAINT MOWING WITH COMPLAINT SNOW
REMOVAL CONTRACT, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, Thompson Contracting Company, LLC, of Marshalltown, Iowa, submitted a
bid as follows: Option A: $1,300 per occurrence, Option B $1,300 per occurrence, Option C
$65.00 per man hour, Option D $75.00 per man hour, in conjunction with the FY 2022
Complaint Mowing with Complaint Snow Removal Contract, and
WHEREAS, Thompson Contracting Company, LLC, submitted a written contract, bond
and certificate of insurance, per the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said
project with Resolution No. 2021-203, after public hearing on April 5, 2021, in conjunction with
the FY 2022 Complaint Mowing with Complaint Snow Removal Contract.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of Thompson Contracting Company, LLC, in the amount of Option
A: $1,300 per occurrence, Option B $1,300 per occurrence, Option C $65.00 per man hour,
Option D $75.00 per man hour, in conjunction with the 2022 Complaint Mowing with Complaint
Snow Removal Contract, is hereby accepted.
2. That the contract, bond and certificate of insurance submitted by B&B Lawn Care,
Inc., in conjunction with the 2020 Complaint Mowing with Complaint Snow Removal Contract,
are hereby approved.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said
documents on behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of April 2021.
