RESOLUTION NO. 2006-78 RESOLUTION APPROVING APPLICATION WITH CHRIS ABBAS FOR TAX EXEMPTIONS ON IMPROVEMENTS TOTALING $210, 000. 00 FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 1728 DEARBORN AVENUE IN THE CONSOLIDATED URBAN REVITALIZATION AREA PLAN, IN THE CITY OF WATERLOO, BLACK HAWK COUNTY, IOWA. WHEREAS, Chris Abbas has submitted an application dated February 6, 2006 to the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, requesting to receive tax exemptions on improvements totaling $210, 000 . 00 for property located at 1728 Dearborn Avenue, more fully described as follows : A survey of Parcel F of the Southeast of Section 29 Township 89 Range 12 described as follows: Commencing at the Northeast corner of the Northwest of the Southeast 11 of said Section 29, thence South 354 . 85 feet along the East line of said Northwest i of the Southeast to a point of intersection with the South line of Dearborn Avenue extended, thence North 89 Degrees 24 Minutes 3 Seconds West 25 feet along said South line of Dearborn Avenue extended to the West line of Willrich Street, thence continuing North 89 Degrees 24 Minutes 3 Seconds West 98 . 23 feet along said South line of Dearborn Avenue to the point of beginning, thence continuing North 89 Degrees 24 Minutes 3 Seconds West 202 . 16 feet along said South line of Dearborn Avenue, thence South 139. 92 feet, thence North 89 Degrees 23 Minutes 59 Seconds West 100 . 20 feet, thence South 139. 91 feet to a point on the North line of Calhoun Street (a 50 foot public right-of-way not open) , thence South 89 Degrees 23 Minutes 54 Seconds East 183. 89 feet along said North line of Calhoun Street, thence North 152 . 64 feet, thence North 89 Degrees 6 Minutes 2 Seconds East 112 . 93 feet, thence North 1 Degree 55 Minutes 10 Seconds East 124 . 27 feet to a point on the South line of Dearborn Avenue and the point of beginning, all in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa; and, WHEREAS, said property is located within the designated Consolidated Urban Revitalization Area in Waterloo, Iowa, as previously established by the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, and, WHEREAS, the improvement project respecting said property is in conformance with the Consolidated Urban Revitalization Plan as officially adopted by the City Council for the City of Waterloo, Iowa, and WHEREAS, the improvements on said property were made during the time in which such improvements are eligible for the tax exemption as set forth in the Consolidated Urban Revitalization Plan as adopted by the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, and as set forth in the Urban Revitalization Act as adopted by the Legislature of the State of Iowa and signed by the Governor of the State of Iowa, and -71 _eselution No. 2006-78 J S < vF < — i-' < ti S L- _— o T�nHREAS, said applicant is requesting the following exemption c for the first year 100% Tor the second year 100% cz -For the third year 100% r � sss v < NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF COUNCIL OF THE s �T' .
