RESOLUTION NO. 2006-80
RESOLUTION APPROVING APPLICATION WITH CHELEA
WALKER FOR TAX EXEMPTIONS ON IMPROVEMENTS
TOTALING 122, 835 . 00 FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT
218 HALSTEAD STREET IN THE CONSOLIDATED URBAN
REVITALIZATION AREA PLAN, IN THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, BLACK HAWK COUNTY, IOWA.
WHEREAS, Chelea Walker has submitted an application dated
February 6, 2006 to the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, requesting to receive tax exemptions on improvements
totaling $122, 835 . 00 for property located at 218 Halstead Street,
more fully described as follows :
Shilliams 3rd Subdivision that part of Lot 2, all of Lot
3 and that part of Lot 4 Block 6 described as follows:
Commencing at the Northwest corner of said Lot 1 point
being " Rebar License #3362, thence South along the
West line of Block 6 89. 96 feet to the point of
beginning point being '-/" Rebar License #6505, thence
South 88 Degrees 49 Minutes 30 Seconds East 132 . 35 feet
to the East line of said Lot 2 point being " Rebar
License #6505, thence South along the East line of said
Lots 2, 3 and 4 89. 94 feet to ;1" Rebar License #6505,
thence North 88 Degrees 50 Minutes 0 Seconds West
132 . 35 feet to the West line of Lot 4 point being ;1"
Rebar License #6505, thence North along the West line
of Lots 4, 3 and 2 89. 96 feet to the point of
beginning, all in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk
County, Iowa;
and,
WHEREAS, said property is located within the designated
Consolidated Urban Revitalization Area in Waterloo, Iowa, as
previously established by the City Council of the City of
Waterloo, Iowa,
and,
WHEREAS, the improvement project respecting said property is
in conformance with the Consolidated Urban Revitalization Plan as
officially adopted by the City Council for the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, and
WHEREAS, the improvements on said property were made during
the time in which such improvements are eligible for the tax
exemption as set forth in the Consolidated Urban Revitalization
Plan as adopted by the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa,
and as set forth in the Urban Revitalization Act as adopted by the
Legislature of the State of Iowa and signed by the Governor of the
State of Iowa, and
WHEREAS, said applicant is requesting the following exemption
schedule:
For the first year 100%
For the second year 100%
For the third year 100%
