RESOLUTIn' APPROVING APPLICATION WITH ' ?ARLYN
ALEXANDER FOR TAX EXEMPTIONS ON IMPROVMENTS
TOTALING ,Y104, 403 . 00 FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT
212 HALSTEAD STREET IN THE CONSOLIDATED URBAN
REVITALIZATION AREA PLAN, IN THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, BLACK HAWK COUNTY, IOWA.
WHEREAS, Charlyn Alexander has submitted an application dated
February 6, 2006 to the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, requesting to receive tax exemptions on improvements
totaling $104, 403 . 00 for property located at 212 Halstead Street,
more fully described as follows:
Shilliams 3rd Subdivision that part of Lot 4 and all of
Lot 5 Block 6 described as follows: Beginning at the
Southwest corner of said Lot 5 point being '-e Rebar
License #6505, thence North along the West line of said
Lot 5 and 4 89. 96 feet to le Rebar License #6505,
thence South 88 Degrees 50 Minutes 0 Seconds East
132 . 35 feet to the East line of said Lot 4 point being
Rebar License #6505, thence South along the East
line of said Lots 4 and 5 89. 94 feet to the Southeast
corner of said Lot 5 point being l" Rebar License
#6505, thence North 88 Degrees 50 Minutes 20 Seconds
West along the South line of Lot 5 132 . 35 feet
(recorded as 132) to the point of beginning, all in the
City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa;
and,
WHEREAS, said property is located within the designated
Consolidated Urban Revitalization Area in Waterloo, Iowa, as
previously established by the City Council of the City of
Waterloo, Iowa,
and,
WHEREAS, the improvement project respecting said property is
in conformance with the Consolidated Urban Revitalization Plan as
officially adopted by the City Council for the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, and
WHEREAS, the improvements on said property were made during
the time in which such improvements are eligible for the tax
exemption as set forth in the Consolidated Urban Revitalization
Plan as adopted by the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa,
and as set forth in the Urban Revitalization Act as adopted by the
Legislature of the State of Iowa and signed by the Governor of the
State of Iowa, and
WHEREAS, said applicant is requesting the following exemption
schedule:
For the first year 1000
For the second year 1000
For the third year 1000
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY OF COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that said application is hereby approved
and the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to forward
said application and a copy of this resolution to the Assessor by
February 1, 2007 .
