RESOLUTION NO. 2006-297
GRANTING PERMISSION TO DOUGLAS KING FOR A
WAIVER FOR A CONCRETE DRIVEWAY TO BE LOCATED
AT 1121 ANN STREET, AND AUTHORIZING
CONSTRUCTION OF A CONCRETE DRIVEWAY AND
PLACING A DRIVEWAY OR SIDEWALK ON CITY RIGHT-
OF-WAY ON AN UNIMPROVED STREET.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA:
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has made written application to
the City Council asking that Douglas King be authorized and
permitted to construct a concrete driveway and authorizing
construction of a concrete driveway and placing a driveway or
sidewalk on city right-of-way on an unimproved street to be
located at 1121 Ann Street, and legally described as follows :
Auditor Barnes Plat of Maywood the West 239 feet of Lot
53;
And also, Auditor Barnes Plat of Maywood beginning at
the Northwest corner of Lot 53, thence Northerly 10
feet to the center line of vacated alley, thence
Easterly 199 feet, thence Southerly 10 feet, thence
Westerly to the point of beginning;
And also, the West 30 feet of the following: Auditor
Barnes Plat of Maywood the West 159 feet of the East
239 feet of the South 75 feet of Lot 53;
And also, the West 30 feet of the following: Auditor
Barnes Plat of Maywood the East 239 feet of Lot 53
except the South 75 feet, all in the City of Waterloo,
Black Hawk County, Iowa;
and
WHEREAS, it is the sense of the Council of the City of
Waterloo, Iowa, that said request should be granted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that permission is
hereby granted to Douglas King to construct a concrete driveway
subject to the following conditions:
1. Work to be performed by an approved and bonded
contractor.
2 . A permit is to be obtained from the office of the City
Engineer prior to construction.
3 . All work shall be performed under the supervision of
the City Engineer and at no cost to the City of
Waterloo.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is authorized and
directed to forward a certified copy of this resolution to the
Black Hawk County Recorder for recording and the Black Hawk County
Auditor for filing in order that this said action may become a
matter of official County Record.
