RESOLUTION NO. 2005-73
RESOLUTION APPROVING MINOR SITE PLAN
AMENDMENT FOR BANK IOWA, 3222 KIMBALL AVENUE,
FOR THE PURPOSE OF ALLOWING A WALL SIGN TO BE
LOCATED AT THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF KIMBALL
AVENUE AND PARK LANE IN THE CITY OF WATERLOO,
BLACK HAWK COUNTY, IOWA.
WHEREAS, it has been proposed that the Council of the City
of Waterloo, Iowa, approve a minor site plan amendment for Bank
Iowa, 3222 Kimball Avenue, for the purpose of allowing a wall
sign to be located at the southwest corner of Kimball Avenue and
Park Lane, legally described as follows :
That part of the Northeast Fractional Quarter (NE FRLA)
of Section Four (4) , Township Eighty-eight North
(T88N) , Range Thirteen West (R13W) of the Fifth
Principal Meridian, City of Waterloo, Black Hawk
County, Iowa, described as follows :
Beginning at the Northeast corner of Lot Seventy (70)
in Southgate Fifth Addition, said point also being the
Northwest corner of Land Deed 566 Page 688; thence
North 89°38' 13" East Four Hundred Ten and Fourteen
Hundredths (410 . 14) feet to the West line of Kimball
Avenue; thence South 1°12' 12" East One Hundred Sixty-
two and Sixty-seven Hundredths (162 . 67) feet along said
West line; thence West Four Hundred Fourteen and Six
Hundredths (414 . 06) feet to a point on the East line of
Southgate Fifth Addition which is One Hundred Sixty-
eight and Thirty-seven Hundredths (168 . 37) feet South
of the point of beginning; thence North 0°00' 07" West
One Hundred Sixty-eight and Thirty-seven Hundredths
(168 . 37) feet to the point of beginning, all in the
City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa;
WHEREAS, due to the insignificant nature of said minor site
plan amendment, the Council did not deem it necessary to hold a
public hearing, and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of this Council that said minor
site plan amendment should be approved as proposed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the minor site plan amendment for
Bank Iowa, 3222 Kimball Avenue, for the purpose of allowing a
wall sign to be located at the southwest corner of Kimball Avenue
and Park Lane, be and the same is hereby approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of February, 2005, and
approved by the Mayor this 9th day of February, 2005 .
