RESOLUTION NO. 2021-269
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO K & W
ELECTRIC OF CEDAR FALLS, IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT OF
$149,650.60, AND APPROVING THE CONTRACT, BOND
AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE, IN CONJUNCTION
WITH THE PARK AVENUE BICYCLE SIGNAL
PROJECT, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE
SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, K & W Electric, Inc., of Cedar Falls, Iowa, submitted a bid in the amount of
$149,650.60, in conjunction with the Park Avenue Bicycle Signal Project, and is the apparent
low bidder, and
WHEREAS, K & W Electric, Inc., submitted a written contract, bond and certificate of
insurance, per the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said project with
Resolution No. 2021-251, after public hearing on April 19, 2021, in conjunction with Park
Avenue Bicycle Signal Project.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of K & W Electric, Inc., in the amount of $149,650.60, in conjunction with
the Park Avenue Bicycle Signal Project, is hereby awarded.
2. That the contract, bond and certificate of insurance submitted by K & W Electric, Inc., in
conjunction with the Park Avenue Bicycle Signal Project, are hereby approved.
3. That the Mayor is authorized and directed to execute said documents on behalf of the City
of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of May 2021.
