RESOLUTION NO. 2021-291
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO LEHMAN
TRUCKING AND EXCAVATING, INC., OF WATERLOO,
IOWA, IN THE AMOUNT OF $80,500, IN CONJUNCTION
WITH DEMOLITION AND SITE CLEARANCE SERVICES,
CONTRACT NO. D-2021-05-7P, FOR PROPERTY
LOCATED AT 725 GLENWOOD, 663 KERN STREET, 214
COTTAGE STREET, 409 WELLINGTON STREET, 413
WELLINGTON, 915 LINDEN AVENUE, AND 200 MERRIMAN
STREET, APPROVING THE CONTRACT, BOND, AND
CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE, AND AUTHORIZING THE
MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, Lehman Trucking and Excavating, Inc., of Waterloo, Iowa, submitted a bid
in the amount of $80,500, in conjunction with demolition and site clearance services, Contract
No. D-2021-05-7P, for property located at 725 Glenwood, 663 Kern Street, 214 Cottage Street,
409 Wellington Street, 413 Wellington, 915 Linden Avenue, and 200 Merriman Street, and is the
apparent low bidder, and
WHEREAS, Lehman Trucking and Excavating, Inc., submitted a written contract, bond
and certificate of insurance, per the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said
project with Resolution No. 2021-290, after public hearing on May 3, 2021, in conjunction with
demolition and site clearance services, Contract No. D-2021-05-7P, for at said properties.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of Lehman Trucking and Excavating, Inc., in the amount of $80,500, in
conjunction with demolition and site clearance services, Contract No. D-2021-05-7P, for
property located at 725 Glenwood, 663 Kern Street, 214 Cottage Street, 409 Wellington
Street, 413 Wellington, 915 Linden Avenue, and 200 Merriman Street, is hereby awarded.
2. That the contract, bond and certificate of insurance submitted by Lehman Trucking and
Excavating, Inc., in conjunction with demolition and site clearance services, Contract No.
D-2021-05-7P, at said properties, are hereby approved.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of May 2021.
