RESOLUTION NO. 2021-293
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO B & B LAWN
CARE, INC., OF WATERLOO, IOWA, IN CONJUNCTION
WITH THE 2021 MOWING OF CITY OWNED
LOTS GENERALLY ACQUIRED THROUGH IOWA CODE
657A IN THE AMOUNT OF $49.50 PER LOT, OPTION A LOTS
UNDER ONE ACRE AND $8.49 PER ACRE FOR OPTION B
LOTS 1 ACRE OR MORE, APPROVING THE CONTRACT,
BOND, AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, B & B Lawn Care, Inc., of Waterloo, Iowa, submitted a bid in the amount of
$49.50 per lot, Option A lots under one acre and $8.49 per acre for Option B lots 1 acre or more,
in conjunction with the 2021 mowing of city owned lots generally acquired through Iowa Code
657A, and is the apparent low bidder, and
WHEREAS, B & B Lawn Care, Inc., submitted a written contract, bond and certificate of
insurance, per the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said project with
Resolution No. 2021-292, after public hearing on May 3, 2021, in conjunction with the
2021 mowing of city owned lots generally acquired through Iowa Code 657A.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of B & B Lawn Care, Inc., in the amount of $49.50 per lot, Option A lots
under one acre and $8.49 per acre for Option B lots 1 acre or more, in conjunction with the
2021 mowing of city owned lots generally acquired through Iowa Code 657A, is hereby
awarded.
2. That the contract, bond and certificate of insurance submitted by B & B Lawn Care, Inc.,
in conjunction with the 2021 mowing of city owned lots generally acquired through Iowa
Code 657A, are hereby approved.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 3rd day of May 2021.
