RESOLUTION NO. 2021-335
RESOLUTION APPROVING AN ACCESS AGREEMENT TO
CITY OWNED PROPERTY FOR THE PURPOSES OF
MIDAMERICAN ENERGY INSTALLING A MONITORING
WELL ON CITY OWNED PROPERTY REQUIRED AS PART
OF THE ASSESSMENT AND CLEANUP OF THE WATERLOO
COAL GAS SITE BEING CONDUCTED UNDER THE
OVERSIGHT OF THE UNITED STATES
ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID
DOCUMENT.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA,
that the Access Agreement dated May 17, 2021, between Mid American Engery and the City of
Waterloo, Iowa, for the purposes of MidAmerican Energy installing a monitoring well on city
owned property required as part of the assessment and cleanup of the Waterloo Coal Gas site
being conducted under the oversight of the United States Environmental Protection Agency, is
hereby approved, and the Mayor is authorized and directed to execute said document on behalf of
the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 17th day of May 2021.
