BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATER-

sea level elevation.
Section 2.STREET GRADES.All grades
established by this ordinance or that may
be established hereafter,shall be calcula-
ted from the bench marks established by
Section One of this Ordinance and shall
be calculated on the Cenlerme of the
streets on which they are established.
Section 3. GUTTERLINE GRADE. The
gutterline grade of all streets with curbs
and gutters shall be calculated at two
percent(2%)slope below the Centerline
grade,except in cases where,by reason
of the natural slope and elevation of the
ground, approved methods of construc-
tion,and benefits to abutting property,it is
impractical to maintain under the existing
conditions.such as elevation below the
Centedine grade.
Section 4. SIDEWALK GRADE. The
grade of all permanent sidewalks shall,
unless some special grade be established
by ordinance,conform to the established
grade of that part of the street upon which
they are located and shall he elevated
above such established gutlerline grade
one foot(1'), except in cases where, by
reasons of the natural slope and elevation
of the ground, approved methods of
construction, and benefits to abutting
property, it is impractical to maintain
under the existing conditions, such an
elevation above the established gutterline
grade.
Section 5.GRADES FOR STREETS.The
grades for streets and sidewalks have
been calculated and shall be in one of
three divisions as follows:
