RESOLUTION NO. 2021-418
RESOLUTION APPROVING VARIANCE TO NOISE
ORDINANCE REQUEST FROM RIVERLOOP ASSOCIATION,
INC., FOR EVENTS TO BE HELD AT THE RIVERLOOP
AMPHITHEATER AND THE EXPO PLAZA FROM MAY 15,
2021 THROUGH OCTOBER 31, 2021, FROM 8:00 A.M. TO
MIDNIGHT, IN CONJUNCTION WITH MUSIC CONCERTS,
SYMPHONY PERFORMANCES, WEDDING RECEPTIONS,
MOVIES ON THE RIVER, CORPORATE PARTIES, ETC.,
INCLUDING BANDS AND THE USE OF A PA SYSTEM.
WHEREAS, the Riverloop Association, Inc. has requested to hold events from May 15,
2021 through October 31, 2021 from 8:00 a.m. to midnight to be held at the Riverloop
Amphitheater and the Expo Plaza in conjunction with music concerts, symphony performances,
wedding receptions, movies on the river, corporate parties, etc., including bands and the use of a
PA system.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the request of Riverloop Association, Inc., to hold events from May
15, 2021 through October 31, 2021, from 8:00 a.m. to midnight at the Riverloop Amphitheater
and Expo Plaza, in conjunction with music concerts, symphony performances, wedding
receptions, movies on the river, corporate parties, etc., including bands and the use of a PA
system, is hereby approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 1 1th day of June 2021.
