RESOLUTION NO. 2021-395
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO BLACK
HAWK ROOF COMPANY OF CEDAR FALLS, IOWA, IN THE
AMOUNT OF $116,400, APPROVING CONTRACT, BONDS,
AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE, AND AUTHORIZING
THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID
DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, Black Hawk Roof Company of Cedar Falls, Iowa, submitted a bid in an
amount not to exceed $116,400, in conjunction with the FY 2021 Young Arena Southeast and
Southwest Roof Replacement Project, Contract No. 1040, and is the apparent low bidder, and
WHEREAS, Black Hawk Roof Company, submitted a written contract, bond and
certificate of insurance, per the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said project
with Resolution No. 2021-394, after public hearing on June 7, 2021, in conjunction with the FY
2021 Young Arena Southeast and Southwest Roof Replacement Project, Contract No. 1040.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of Black Hawk Roof Company, in an amount not to exceed $116,400, in
conjunction with the with FY 2021 Young Arena Southeast and Southwest Roof
Replacement Project, Contract No. 1040, is hereby awarded.
2. That the contract, bond and certificate of insurance submitted by Black Hawk Roof
Company, in conjunction with the FY 2021 Young Arena Southeast and Southwest Roof
Replacement Project, Contract No. 1040, are hereby approved.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of June 2021.
