RESOLUTION NO. 2021-399
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO BROCK
EVEN CONSTRUCTION, LLC OF JESUP, IOWA, IN THE
AMOUNT OF $151,443.33, APPROVING THE CONTRACT,
BOND AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE, IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY 2021 SIDEWALK AND TRAIL
REPAIR PROGRAM, CONTRACT NO. 1044, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, Brock Even Construction, LLC of Jesup, Iowa, submitted a bid in an
amount not to exceed $151,443.33, in conjunction with the FY 2021 Sidewalk and Trail Repair
Program, Contract No. 1044, and is the apparent low bidder, and
WHEREAS, Brock Even Construction, LLC submitted a written contract, bond and
certificate of insurance, per the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said project
with Resolution No. 2021-398, after public hearing on June 7, 2021, in conjunction with the FY
2021 Sidewalk and Trail Repair Program, Contract No. 1044.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of Brock Even Construction, LLC, in an amount not to exceed $151,443.33,
in conjunction with the FY 2021 Sidewalk and Trail Repair Program, Contract No. 1044,
is hereby awarded.
2. That the contract, bond and certificate of insurance submitted by Brock Even
Construction, LLC, in conjunction with the FY 2021 Sidewalk and Trail Repair Program,
Contract No. 1044, are hereby approved.
3. That the Mayor and City Clerk are authorized and directed to execute said documents on
behalf of the City of Waterloo, Iowa.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 7th day of June 2021.
