RESOLUTION NO. 2005-246
RESOLUTION APPROVING SITE PLAN AMENDMENT TO
THE "S-1" SHOPPING DISTRICT FOR CHRISBRO LLC
FOR PROPERTY GENERALLY LOCATED NEAR THE CORNER
OF CROSSROADS BOULEVARD AND BOPP STREET FOR
THE PURPOSE OF CONSTRUCTING A NEW HAMPTON INN
AND SUITES IN THE CITY OF WATERLOO, BLACK HAWK
COUNTY, IOWA.
WHEREAS, it has been proposed that the Council of the City
of Waterloo, Iowa, approve a site plan amendment to the "S-1"
Shopping District for Chrisbro LLC for property generally located
near the corner of Crossroads Boulevard and Bopp Street for the
purpose of constructing a new Hampton Inn and Suites, and legally
described as follows :
That part of Tract XG of Crossroads Plat No. 1 that
lies Southeasterly of a line drawn from a point on the
Northeasterly line of said Tract XG that is 251 . 55 feet
Southeasterly of the Northeast corner of said tract,
Southwesterly and perpendicular to said Northeast line
to its intersection with the Southwesterly line of said
Tract XG, all in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk
County, Iowa.
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on March 28, 2005, at
5 : 30 p.m. , at City Hall Council Chambers, Waterloo, Iowa, as
provided by law, by the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, on
the proposal to approve said above mentioned site plan amendment,
and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of this Council that said site
plan amendment should be approved as proposed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that a site plan amendment to the "S-1"
Shopping District for property generally located near the corner
of Crossroads Boulevard and Bopp Street for the purpose of
constructing a new Hampton Inn and Suites, be and the same is
hereby approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 28th day of March, 2005, and
approved by the Mayor this 30th day of March, 2005 .
