RESOLUTION FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE OF
HEARING TO BE GIVEN ON APPLICATION OF IOWA
POST FRAME BUILDERS TO REZONE FROM "R-2" ONE
AND TWO FAMILY RESIDENCE DISTRICT TO "R-4"
MULTIPLE RESIDENCE DISTRICT PROPERTY
GENERALLY LOCATED AT THE CORNER OF BROADWAY
AND VIRGINIA STREETS FOR THE PURPOSE OF
CONSTRUCTING A NEW MULTIPLE HOUSING COMPLEX
UNIT (4 UNIT CONDO) , AS APRIL 18 2005, AT
5 : 30 P.M. IN THE COUNCIL CHAMBERS IN CITY
HALL AND INSTRUCTING CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH
NOTICE OF HEARING.
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, shall
meet in the Council Chambers in the City Hall in the City of
Waterloo, Iowa, at 5: 30 p.m. on the 18 day of April, 2005, for
the purpose of considering and acting upon an application of Iowa
Post Frame Builders to rezone from "R-2"
One and Two Family
Residence District to "R-4" Multiple Residence District property
generally located at the corner of Broadway and Virginia Streets
for the purpose of constructing a new multiple housing complex
unit (4 unit condo) and legally described as follows :
A survey of part of Lot J, Cedar Dale, in the City of
Waterloo, Black Hawk County, State of Iowa, being more
particularly described as follows :
Commencing at the Southwesterly corner of said Lot J;
thence North 00°39' 14" East Twenty and Zero Hundredths
(20 . 00) feet coincident with the Westerly line of said
lot to a point on the Northerly public right-of-way
line of Virginia Street; thence North 90000' 00" East
Two Hundred and Zero Hundredths (200. 00) feet
coincident with said right-of-way line to the point of
beginning; thence North 00°39' 17" East Two Hundred Six
and Ninety-Five Hundredths (206. 95) feet coincident
with a line parallel to the Westerly line of Lot J to a
point on the Southwesterly public right-of-way line of
Broadway Street; thence South 48035' 31" East Three
Hundred Thirteen and Zero Hundredths (313 . 00) feet
coincident with said public right-of-way line to the
intersection of said right-of-way line and the
aforesaid Northerly right-of-way line of Virginia
Street; thence South 90000' 00" West Two Hundred
Thirty-Seven and Twelve Hundredths (237 . 12) feet
coincident with said Northerly right-of-way line to the
point of beginning containing Twenty-Four Thousand Five
Hundred Thirty-Five and Nine Tenths (24, 535. 9) square
feet or Zero and Five Hundred Sixty-Three Thousandths
(0 . 563) acres, all in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk
County, Iowa.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the City Clerk is hereby directed to publish
Notice of the time and place of said hearing in the Waterloo
Courier.
