RESOLUTION FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE OF
HEARING AND NOTICE TO BE GIVEN ON THE REQUEST
OF CINEMA ENTERTAINMENT CORPORATION FOR A
SITE PLAN AMENDMENT TO THE "S-1" SHOPPING
CENTER COMMERCIAL DISTRICT FOR PROPERTY
GENERALLY LOCATED AT 2450 CROSSROADS
BOULEVARD FOR REDEVELOPMENT AND EXPANSION OF
EXISTING CROSSROADS CINEMA 12 THEATERS, AS
MAY 9, 2005, AT 5 : 30 P.M. IN THE COUNCIL
CHAMBERS AND INSTRUCTING CITY CLERK TO
PUBLISH NOTICE OF HEARING.
WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, shall
meet in the Council Chambers in the City Hall in the City of
Waterloo, Iowa, at 5 : 30 p.m. on the 9th day of May, 2005, for the
purpose of considering the request of Cinema Entertainment
Corporation for a site plan amendment to the "S-1" Shopping
Center Commercial District for property generally located at 2450
Crossroads Boulevard for redevelopment and expansion of the
existing Crossroads Cinema 12 Theaters, legally described as
follows :
A parcel of land located in the South Half of Southeast
Quarter of Section No. 2 in Township No. 88 North,
Range No. 13 West of the Fifth Principal Meridian, in
the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa, bounded
as follows :
Commencing at the intersection of the Southwesterly
right-of-way line of U. S . Highway 218 as located on May
16, 1967, with the East line of said Section 2-88-13,
said right-of-way line 60 . 00 feet normally distant
Southwesterly from the center line of said U. S. Highway
218; thence North 35°20' West along said Southwesterly
right-of-way line of a distance of 494 . 43 feet; thence
South 54 °40' West a distance of 425 . 00 feet; thence
South 35°20' East a distance of 442 . 31 feet; thence
Southeasterly along a curve Southwesterly having a
radius of 470 . 96 feet a distance of 290 . 43 feet; thence
South a distance of 370 . 45 feet; thence Southwesterly
along a curve concave Northwesterly having a radius of
561 . 06 feet a distance of 535 . 32 feet; thence South
54°40' West a distance of 246. 41 feet; thence
Southwesterly along a curve concave Northwesterly
having a radius of 470 . 96 feet a distance of 93 . 79 feet
to the point of beginning; thence North 35°20' West a
