RESOLUTION NO. 2005-332
RESOLUTION GRANTING PERMISSION TO BRUCE GLENN
FOR A WAIVER FOR A CONCRETE DRIVEWAY TO BE
LOCATED AT 2825 DEERE ROAD, AND AUTHORIZING
CONSTRUCTION OF A CONCRETE DRIVEWAY WITH THE
ELIMINATION OF THE SIDEWALK SECTION DUE TO
THE INABILITY TO MEET REQUIREMENTS OF THE
DRIVEWAY AND SIDEWALK POLICY, PARAGRAPH 1 .
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA:
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has made written application to
the City Council asking that Bruce Glenn be authorized and
permitted to construct a concrete driveway with the elimination
of the sidewalk section due to the inability to meet requirements
of the driveway and sidewalk policy, paragraph 1, to be located
at 2825 Deere Road, and legally described as follows :
Unplatted Waterloo West commencing at a point on West
line Southwest Southwest Section 32 Township 89 Range
13 that is 111 feet South of Northwest corner South 7;
acres of North 12 . 50 acres thence South along West line
a distance of 130 feet thence East 200 feet thence
North 130 feet thence West 200 feet to point of
beginning Section 32 Township 89 Range 13, all in the
City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa;
and
WHEREAS, it is the sense of the Council of the City of
Waterloo, Iowa, that said request should be granted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that permission is
hereby granted to Bruce Glenn to construct a concrete driveway
subject to the following conditions :
1 . Work to be performed by an approved and bonded
contractor.
2 . A permit is to be obtained from the office of the City
Engineer prior to construction.
3 . All work shall be performed under the supervision of
the City Engineer and at no cost to the City of
Waterloo.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is authorized and
directed to forward a certified copy of this resolution to the
Black Hawk County Recorder for recording and the Black Hawk
County Auditor for filing in order that this said action may
become a matter of official County Record.
