RESOLUTION NO. 2005-395
RESOLUTION APPROVING REQUEST OF NATIONAL
CATTLE CONGRESS FOR A SITE PLAN AMENDMENT TO
THE "M-2 , P" PLANNED INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT FOR
THE FORMER GREYHOUND SITE GENERALLY LOCATED
NEAR THE CROSSING OF HIGHWAYS 63 AND 20 AS
PART OF THE CASINO, FUTURE RETAIL CENTER AS
WELL AS A HOTEL IN THE CITY OF WATERLOO, BLACK
HAWK COUNTY, IOWA.
WHEREAS, it has been proposed that the Council of the City
of Waterloo, Iowa, approve a site plan amendment to the "M-2 , P"
Planned Industrial District for the former Greyhound Site
generally located near the crossing of Highways 63 and 20 as part
of the casino, future retail center as well as a hotel, legally
described as follows :
Northeast Southwest part of Northwest Southeast
described as follows : Beginning at the Northwest corner
of the Northwest Southeast thence East 100 feet along
Northerly line of Northwest Southeast thence South
1069 . 31 feet along a line parallel with Westerly line
of Northwest Southeast to the beginning of a curve
concave Northeasterly having a radius of 686 . 62 feet
thence Southeasterly 259 . 10 feet along said curve to a
point on Southerly line of the Northwest Southeast
which point is 148 . 31 feet Easterly from Southwest
corner of the Northwest Southeast thence West 148 . 31
feet thence North 1322 . 37 feet to the point of
beginning Section 6 Township 88 Range 13 , all in the
City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa .
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on May 9, 2005, at 5 : 30
p.m. , at City Hall Council Chambers, Waterloo, Iowa, as provided
by law, by the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, on the
proposal to approve said above mentioned site plan amendment, and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of this Council that said site
plan amendment should be approved as proposed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that a site plan amendment to the "M-2 , P" Planned
Industrial District for the former Greyhound Site generally
located near the crossing of Highways 63 and 20 as part of the
casino, future retail center as well as a hotel , be and the same
is hereby approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 9th day of May, 2005 .
