RESOLUTION FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE OF HEARING
AND NOTICE TO BE GIVEN ON THE PROPOSED
DEVELOPMENT AGREEMENT WITH VGM COMPANY FOR
CONSTRUCTION OF NEW 51 , 700 SQ. FT. EXPANSION
TO PROFESSIONAL OFFICE BUILDING AT 1107 WEST
SAN MARNAN DRIVE GENERALLY LOCATED AT THE
SOUTHWEST CORNER OF SAN MARNAN DRIVE AND
ANSBOROUGH AVENUE INTERSECTION, WITH
ADDITIONAL MINIMUM TAXABLE VALUE OF
$4 , 500, 000 . 00 WITH THE CITY GRANTING
$378, 362 . 00 FOR PROJECT EXPENSES INCLUDING
LAND ACQUISITION AND TAX REBATEMENTS FOR 5
YEARS AT 50 PERCENT ON THE ADDED VALUE, AND
CONSTRUCTION OF ENTRANCE AND ROADWAY OFF
ANSBOROUGH AVENUE, AS MAY 23 , 2005, AT 5 :30
P.M. IN CITY HALL COUNCIL CHAMBERS, WATERLOO,
IOWA AND INSTRUCTING THE CITY CLERK TO PUBLISH
THE NOTICE OF HEARING.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA,
AS FOLLOWS :
Section 1 . That the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa
shall meet at City Hall Council Chambers in the City of Waterloo,
Iowa at 5 : 30 p.m. on the 23rd day of May, 2005, for the purpose
of considering and acting upon a proposed development agreement
with VGM Company for construction of new 51, 700 sq. ft .
expansion to professional office building at 1107 West San
Marnan Drive generally located at the southwest corner of San
Marnan Drive and Ansborough Avenue intersection, with additional
minimum taxable value of $4 , 500, 000 . 00 with the city granting
$378 , 362 . 00 for project expenses including land acquisition and
tax rebatements for 5 years at 50 percent on the added value,
and construction of entrance and roadway off Ansborough Avenue,
and legally described as follows :
The East 235 feet of the Northeast Quarter of Section
No. 8, Township No. 88 North, Range No. 13 West of the
Fifth Principal Meridian, City of Waterloo, Black Hawk
County, Iowa, lying North of the South 295 feet of the
North One-half of the North One-half of said Northeast
Quarter except that part condemned by the State of Iowa
in 121 Misc 435 .
AND
The North 651 . 63 feet of the East 859 . 53 feet of the
Northeast Quarter of Section No. 8, Township No. 88
North, Range No. 13 West of the Fifth Principal
Meridian, City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa,
except the East 235 feet thereof, excepting that part
lying within the limits described in 543 LD 141, Black
Hawk County Recorder' s Office, to-wit :
That part of the NE'A of Section No. 8 , T88N, R13W of
the Fifth Principal Meridian, Black Hawk County, Iowa,
described as follows :
Commencing at a point on the East line of said Section
8 that is 496 . 6 feet South of the Northeast corner of
said Section 8; thence West at right angles 238 feet;
