AVENUE, IN THE CITY OF WATERLOO, BLACK HAWK
COUNTY, IOWA.
BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the extension of the public East Mitchell
Avenue be and the same hereby named private East Mitchell Avenue.

RESOLUTION NO. 2005-522
RESOLUTION GRANTING PERMISSION TO GARY AND
PAMELA SHAWVER FOR A WAIVER FOR A CONCRETE
DRIVEWAY TO BE LOCATED AT 551 EXCELSIOR LANE,
AND AUTHORIZING CONSTRUCTION OF A CONCRETE
DRIVEWAY USING A SPECIAL SURFACE TEXTURE
(BRICK STAMPED PATTERN) .
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA:
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has made written application to
the City Council asking that Gary and Pamela Shawver be
authorized and permitted to construct a concrete driveway using a
special surface texture (brick stamped pattern) to be located at
551 Excelsior Lane, and legally described as follows :
LEWIS MILLERS SMALL FARMS PART OF LOTS 54 AND 55
BEGINNING AT A POINT ON WEST LINE LOT 55 THAT IS 230
FEET SOUTH OF NORTHWEST CORNER THENCE EAST 38 . 5 FEET
THENCE NORTHEAST TO A POINT 100 FEET EAST AND 198 FEET
SOUTH OF NORTHWEST CORNER LOT 55 THENCE NORTHEASTERLY
TO A POINT ON EAST LINE LOT 54 THAT IS 113 FEET SOUTH
OF NORTHEAST CORNER LOT 54 THENCE SOUTH ALONG EAST LINE
LOT 54 TO SOUTHEAST CORNER LOT 54 THENCE WEST ALONG
SOUTH LINE LOTS 54 AND 55 TO SOUTHWEST CORNER LOT 55
THENCE NORTH TO POINT OF BEGINNING EXCEPT WEST 45 FEET
SOUTH 70 FEET LOT 55 AND EXCEPT EAST 105 FEET LOT 54

and
WHEREAS, it is the sense of the Council of the City of
Waterloo, Iowa, that said request should be granted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that permission is
hereby granted to Gary and Pamela Shawver to construct a concrete
driveway subject to the following conditions :
1 . Work to be performed by an approved and bonded
contractor.
2 . A permit is to be obtained from the office of the City
Engineer prior to construction.
3 . All work shall be performed under the supervision of
the City Engineer and at no cost to the City of
Waterloo.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is authorized and
directed to forward a certified copy of this resolution to the
Black Hawk County Recorder for recording and the Black Hawk County
Auditor for filing in order that this said action may become a
matter of official County Record.
