RESOLUTION NO. 2005-605 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SALE AND CONVEYANCE OF APPROXIMATELY 1 . 6 ACRES OF PROPERTY GENERALLY LOCATED AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF SYCAMORE AND EAST 11TH STREETS FOR $1 . 00, PLUS COSTS, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE AND DELIVER DEED FOR SAME. WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, is the owner of real property in the City of Waterloo, Iowa, as described below, and WHEREAS, an offer to purchase said certain parcels of real property in the sum of $1 . 00, plus costs, has been made by Powers Manufacturing Company, and WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on July 11, 2005, at 5: 30 p.m. in the Council Chambers in City Hall, Waterloo, Iowa, as provided by law, by the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, on the proposal to sell and convey premises owned by the City of Waterloo, Iowa, to Powers Manufacturing Company, and WHEREAS, it is the opinion of this Council that sale and conveyance should be made as proposed. NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, AS FOLLOWS: 1. The following described real property, as fully described in the published notice in the Waterloo Courier on July 5, 2005, is not presently needed and will not be needed in the foreseeable future for municipal purposes and its ownership is serving no municipal purpose, and 2 . That the offer of Powers Manufacturing Company to purchase real property for the sum of $1 . 00, and costs, be and it is hereby accepted for real property described below: Lots 6, 7, 8, 9, 11 and 12 in Block 1 of Riverside Addition, and all of the vacated alley in Block 1 of Riverside Addition; and also all of Lot 10 in Block 1 of Riverside Addition except that part lying Westerly of a line drawn from a point on the Northwesterly line of said lot 10 that is 12 feet Southwesterly of the most Northerly corner of said lot 10 to a point on the Southwesterly line of said lot 10 that is 35 feet Southeasterly of the most Westerly corner of said lot 10; and also Lot 1 and 2 in Auditors Consolidated Plat, And Riverside Addition part of Lot 1 Block 7 commencing at easterly corner Lot 1 and thence northwesterly along northerly line Lot 60 feet thence southwesterly direction & at right angle to northerly line Lot 1 to the northerly line right of way ICRR thence easterly direction along northerly line of right of way to point of beginning, all in the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, State of Iowa. / % J <2 _« 3 c -. 2 a \ / -1 w y_ 2 / ) Iution 2005-605 - -P - f 2 ? & Ox3 Mo % / « + / That the City of Waterloo, Iowa, convey said parcels of % ¥} property£ _w «_ 3 »_ 2 2 ty to Powers Manufacturing Company by Deed. / 0 / >, 4 .
