RESOLUTION GRANTING REQUEST OF THE UTRC PEACE
RALLY STEERING COMMITTEE FOR VARIANCE TO
NOISE ORDINANCE, ORDINANCE NO. 3094 .

' c WHEREAS, the UTRC Peace Rally Steering Committee, is
LA requesting a variance to the Noise Ordinance on July 23 , 2005 from
e 11 : 00 a.m. to 8 : 00 p.m. in conjunction with "Uniting the Tribes
'ti Peace Rally" to be held at Sullivan Park, including a DJ, drill
gams and choirs, and
WHEREAS, said "Uniting the Tribes Peace Rally" Revival event
will exceed the limits of the Noise Ordinance, Ordinance No. 3094 ,
and
WHEREAS, said UTRC Peace Rally Steering Committee has made
formal application for a variance to Ordinance No. 3094 , Noise
Qrdinance, on July 23 , 2005 from 11 : 00 a.m. to 8 : 00 p.m.
3 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
---WATERLOO, IOWA that the request of the UTRC Peace Rally Steering
Committee for a variance to the Noise Ordinance on July 23 , 2005
from 11 : 00 a.m. to 8 : 00 p.m. in conjunction with "Uniting the
Tribes Peace Rally" to be held at Sullivan Park, including a DJ,
darill teams and choirs, be and the same hereby granted.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of July, 2005 .
