RESOLUTION NO. 2005-689 RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SALE AND CONVEYANCE OF PROPERTY GENERALLY LOCATED ALONG DYSART ROAD FOR $570 . 00, PLUS COSTS, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE AND DELIVER DEED FOR SAME. WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, is the owner of real property in the City of Waterloo, Iowa, as described below, and WHEREAS, an offer to purchase said certain parcels of real property in the sum of $570. 00, plus costs, has been made by Minard Construction, Inc. , and WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on August 1, 2005, at 5 : 30 p.m. in the Council Chambers in City Hall, Waterloo, Iowa, as provided by law, by the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, on the proposal to sell and convey premises owned by the City of Waterloo, Iowa, to Minard Construction, Inc. , and WHEREAS, it is the opinion of this Council that sale and conveyance should be made as proposed. NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, AS FOLLOWS: 1 . The following described real property, as fully described in the published notice in the Waterloo Courier on July 22, 2005, is not presently needed and will not be needed in the foreseeable future for municipal purposes and its ownership is serving no municipal purpose, and 2 . That the offer of Minard Construction, Inc. to purchase real property for the sum of $570 . 00, and costs, be and it is hereby accepted for real property described below: That part of the NE i SE of Sec. 13-88-13 described as follows : Beginning at a point on the South line of said NE '1 SE that is 50 feet West of the East line of the SE of said Sec. 13-88-13; thence NO°00' E on a line parallel to the East line of said NE SE a distance of 1324 . 17 feet more or less to the North line of said NE 141 SE '41; thence West along said North line a distance of 10 feet; thence S4 °36' 50"W a distance of 248 . 65 feet to a point 80 feet West of the East line of said NE 1,1 SE 1i; thence South parallel to said East line a distance of 300 feet; thence S5°42' 30"E a distance of 201 . 09 feet; thence South parallel to said East line a distance of 250 feet; thence North 90° West 5 feet; thence South parallel to said East line a distance of 326 . 33 feet more or less to the South line of said NE SE 241; thence N89°29' E along said South line a distance of 15 feet more or less to the point of beginning.
