RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR REQUEST THE
s v BLACK HAWK COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS ASSIGN
w CERTIFICATE FOR PURCHASE AT TAX SALE NO.
•
2003001299 TO THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA.
' -- WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo is currently working with
_-Cedar Valley Restoration and Development in the Cedar River
Neighborhood area for redevelopment as part of the Rath Area
Nei-ghborhood Plan, and
= WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo recently acquired a vacant lot
-farmerly known as 218 East 7th Street identified as Parcel No.
89-1325133018 as part of the Rath Area Neighborhood Plan, and
WHEREAS, due to non-payment of real estate taxes and special
assessments, said Parcel No. 891325133018 was offered at the 2003
Ptah is Bidder Sale, and
WHEREAS, because there were no private sector bidders at
2003 Public Bidder Sale, Black Hawk County currently holds
the Certificate of Purchase at Tax Sale No. 2003001299, and

WHEREAS, in order to clear title and transfer said Parcel
No. 891325133018 to Cedar Valley Restoration and Development, the
City of Waterloo needs to request said Certificate of Purchase at
Tax Sale No. 2003001299 from Black Hawk County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that the Mayor be and the same is
hereby authorized to request the Black Hawk County Board of
Supervisors assign said Certificate for Purchase at Tax Sale No.
2003001299 for said Parcel No. 891325133018 to the City of
Waterloo, Iowa .
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 19th day of September, 2005 .
