RESOLUTION NO. 2005-915
RESOLUTION APPROVING THE REQUEST OF DEER
CREEK DEVELOPMENT FOR A SITE PLAN AMENDMENT
TO THE "M-2, P" PLANNED INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT
FOR PROPERTY GENERALLY LOCATED AT THE
NORTHEASTERLY CORNER OF GREYHOUND DRIVE AND
HIGHWAY 63 FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONSTRUCTING A
GOLD' S GYM AND CONVENIENCE STORE DEVELOPMENT
IN THE CITY OF WATERLOO, BLACK HAWK COUNTY,
IOWA.
WHEREAS, it has been proposed that the Council of the City
of Waterloo, Iowa, approve a site plan amendment to the "M-2, P"
Planned Industrial District for property generally located at the
northeasterly corner of Greyhound Drive and Highway 63 for the
purpose of constructing a Gold' s Gym and convenience store
development, legally described as follows :
That part Northwest Southeast lying Northwest of
railroad except beginning at the Northwest corner of
the Northwest Southeast 1,1 Section 6 Township 88 Range
13 thence East 210 feet along Northerly line of
Northwest 141 Southeast said Section thence South
parallel West line Southeast 1,1 a distance of 1069. 56
feet thence Southeasterly 261 . 64 feet along a curve
concave Northeasterly having a radius of 576. 62 feet
and a long chord of 259. 40 feet to a point on South
line of Northwest i Southeast that is 268 . 35 feet
Easterly from Southwest corner of the Northwest
Southeast thence West 268 . 35 feet thence North along
the Westerly line of the Southeast i a distance of
1322 . 37 feet to the point of beginning Section 6
Township 88 Range 13, all in the City of Waterloo,
Black Hawk County, State of Iowa.
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on October 10, 2005, at
5 : 30 p.m. , at City Hall Council Chambers, Waterloo, Iowa, as
provided by law, by the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, on
the proposal to approve said above mentioned site plan amendment,
and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of this Council that said site
plan amendment should be approved as proposed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, that a site plan amendment to the "M-2, P"
Planned Industrial District for property generally located at the
northeasterly corner of Greyhound Drive and Highway 63 for the
purpose of constructing a Gold' s Gym and convenience store
development, be and the same is hereby approved.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 10th day of October, 2005 .
