RESOLUTION NO. 2005-1091
RESOLUTION FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE OF
HEARING AND NOTICE TO BE GIVEN ON THE SALE
AND CONVEYANCE OF A PORTION OF THE EXISTING
PARKING LOT BOUNDED BY EAST 6TH STREET,
LAFAYETTE STREET AND SYCAMORE STREET TO BLACK
HAWK COUNTY AS DECEMBER 19, 2005, AT 5 : 30
P.M. IN CITY HALL COUNCIL CHAMBERS, WATERLOO,
IOWA AND INSTRUCTING THE CITY CLERK TO
PUBLISH THE NOTICE OF HEARING.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA,
AS FOLLOWS :
Section 1 . That the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa
shall meet at City Hall Council Chambers in the City of Waterloo,
Iowa at 5: 30 p.m. on the 19th day of December, 2005, for the
purpose of considering and acting upon a proposal to sell and
convey a portion of the existing parking lot bounded by East 6th
Street, Lafayette Street and Sycamore Street owned by the City of
Waterloo, Iowa, to Black Hawk County, and legally described as
follows :
This Plat represents a survey of Parcel "K"
That part of the Lots Nos . 2 and 3 in Block No. 16,
Original Plat of Waterloo (East Side) , in the City of
Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa, described as
follows :
Beginning at the most Northerly corner of said
Block No. 16, point being a found "mag" nail in A.C.C.
pavement;
thence South 49°49 ' East along the Northeasterly
line of said Block No. 16 a distance of 110 . 9 feet to a
point being 25 . 0 feet distant Northwesterly, measured
at right angles, from the centerline of the main track
of the Union Pacific Railroad (formerly the Chicago and
North Western Transportation Company, formerly the
Chicago Great Western Railway Company) , point being a
found " rebar with license #16264;
thence continuing South 40°06' West parallel with
said centerline a distance of 115 . 0 feet to a set "mag"
nail in A. C.C. pavement;
thence North 49°49 ' West a distance of 110 . 7 feet
to the Northwesterly line of said Block No. 16;
thence North 39°58 ' East along said Northwesterly
line a distance of 115 . 0 feet to the point of
beginning. Contains 12, 745 ft . 2
