RESOLUTION NO. 2021-436
RESOLUTION APPROVING AWARD OF BID TO LODGE
CONSTRUCTION, INC., OF CLARKSVILLE, IOWA, IN THE
AMOUNT OF $312,862.50, AND APPROVING THE
CONTRACT, BONDS AND CERTIFICATE OF INSURANCE, IN
CONJUNCTION WITH THE FY 2021 UPTON AVENUE AND
CARRIAGE HILL DRIVE STORMWATER IMPROVEMENTS,
CONTRACT NO. 1010, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR
AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE SAID DOCUMENT.
WHEREAS, Lodge Construction, Inc., of Clarksville, Iowa, submitted a bid in the
amount of $312,862.50, in conjunction with the FY 2021 Upton Avenue and Carriage Hill Drive
Stormwater Improvements, Contract No. 1010, and is the apparent low bidder, and
WHEREAS, Lodge Construction, Inc., submitted a written contract, bond and certificate
of insurance, per the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said project with
Resolution No. 2021-397, after public hearing on June 7, 2021, in conjunction with the FY 2021
Upton Avenue and Carriage Hill Drive Stormwater Improvements, Contract No. 1010.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of Lodge Construction, Inc., in the amount of $312,862.50, in conjunction
with the FY 2021 Upton Avenue and Carriage Hill Drive Stormwater Improvements,
Contract No. 1010, is hereby awarded.
2. That the contract, bond and certificate of insurance submitted by Lodge Construction,
Inc., in conjunction with the FY 2021 Upton Avenue and Carriage Hill Drive Stormwater
Improvements, Contract No. 1010, are hereby approved.
3. That the Mayor is authorized and directed to execute said documents on behalf of the City
of Waterloo, Iowa.
