RESOLUTION NO. 2004-180
RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE SALE AND
CONVEYANCE OF AN ALLEY GENERALLY LOCATED
BETWEEN WEST 4TH AND WEST 5TH STREETS, NORTH
OF BLUFF STREET FOR $1 . 00, PLUS COSTS AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE AND DELIVER A DEED FOR SAME.
WHEREAS, the City of Waterloo, Iowa, is the owner of real
property in the City of Waterloo, Iowa, as described below, and
WHEREAS, an offer to purchase said certain parcel of real
property has been made by Pioneer Graphics in the sum of $1 . 00,
plus costs and,
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held on April 5, 2004 , at 5 : 30
p.m. in the Council Chambers in City Hall, Waterloo, Iowa, as
provided by law, by the Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa, on
the proposal to sell and convey premises owned by the City of
Waterloo, Iowa, to Pioneer Graphics, and
WHEREAS, it is the opinion of this Council that sale and
conveyance should be made as proposed.
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA, AS FOLLOWS :
1 . The following described real property, as fully
described in the published notice in the Waterloo Courier on
March 18 , 2004, is not presently needed and will not be needed in
the foreseeable future for municipal purposes and its ownership
is serving no municipal purpose, and
2 . That the offer of Pioneer Graphics to purchase real
property for the sum of $1 . 00, plus costs, be, and it is hereby
accepted for real property described below:
The 20 ' wide alley in Block 17 of the Original Plat of
Waterloo West that was replatted as Lot 3 of Leavitt
Lusch and Miller Subdivision of Lots 6 and 7 in Block
17 of Original Plat of Waterloo West in the City of
Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa.
The 20 ' wide alley in Block 17 of the Original Plat of
Waterloo West that lies Northwesterly of and adjacent
to the Northeasterly 100 feet of Lot 8 Block 17 of the
Original Plat of Waterloo West and Southeasterly of and
adjacent to Lot Nos . 3 , 4 , 5, 6 and 7 of Leavitt Lusch
and Miller Subdivision of Lots 6 and 7 in Block 17 of
the Original Plat of Waterloo West, all in the City of
Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa.
3 . That the City of Waterloo, Iowa, convey said parcel of
r' a1 property to Pioneei Graphics by Deed.
4 . That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to
e '_ecute and deliver deed to Pioneer Graphics .
5 . That the original of said deed fully executed and
acknowledged is hereby approved and coufirmed by the Council .
