RESOLUTION NO. 2021-468
RESOLUTION AWARDING BID TO BITUMINOUS
MATERIALS AND SUPPLY OF DES MOINES, IOWA, IN THE
AMOUNT OF (MINIMUM QUANTITY) $6,129.60,
(MAXIMUM QUANTITY) $151,500.00, IN CONJUNCTION
WITH FY 2022 ASPHALT EMULSIONS FOR THE CITY'S
RECYCLED ASPHALT PAVING PROGRAM, AND
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID
DOCUMENTS.
WHEREAS, Bituminous Materials and Supply, LP of Des Moines, Iowa, submitted a bid
in the amount of $151,500, in conjunction with Asphalt Emulsions for the City's Recycled
Asphalt Paving Program, and is the apparent low bidder, and
WHEREAS, Bituminous Materials and Supply, LP, submitted a written contract, bond
and certificate of insurance, per the specifications heretofore adopted by this Council for said
project with Resolution No. 2021-467, after public hearing on July 6, 2021, in conjunction with
Asphalt Emulsions for the City's Recycled Asphalt Paving Program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA
1. That the bid of Bituminous Materials and Supply, LP, in the amount of $151,500, in
conjunction with Asphalt Emulsions for the City's Recycled Asphalt Paving Program, is
hereby awarded to Bituminous Materials and Supply, LP.
2. That the contract, bond and certificate of insurance submitted by Bituminous Materials
and Supply, LP, in conjunction with Asphalt Emulsions for the City's Recycled Asphalt
Paving Program, are hereby approved.
3. That the Mayor is authorized and directed to execute said documents on behalf of the City
of Waterloo, Iowa.
