Tt o to join in the lawsuit to protect its interests in the
aton Iowa award and to seek release of funds awarded at the
earliest possible date before final disposition of the suit .
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
WATERLOO, IOWA, that the city attorney is authorized and directed
to petition the court having jurisdiction of the Vision Iowa
lawsuit to permit the City of Waterloo to join the suit as a
party, upon approval by the court to vigorously prosecute and
defend the interests of the City of Waterloo and the validity of
the Vision Iowa award as it relates to the application filed by
the City of Waterloo and other Cedar Valley municipalities, and to
seek disbursement from the State of Iowa at the earliest possible
date of funds awarded to the Cedar Valley project .
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 23rd day of February, 2004 .
