RESOLUTION APPROVING APPLICATION WITH RONALD
ERNE FOR TAX EXEMPTIONS ON IMPROVEMENTS
TOTALING $43 , 990 . 00 FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT
2955 LAFAYETTE STREET IN THE CONSOLIDATED
URBAN REVITALIZATION AREA PLAN, IN THE CITY
OF WATERLOO, BLACK HAWK COUNTY, IOWA.
WHEREAS, Ronald Erne has submitted an application dated
August 9, 2004 , to the City Council of the City of Waterloo, Iowa
requesting to receive tax exemptions on improvements totaling
$43 , 990 . 00 for property located at 2955 Lafayette Street, more
fully described as follows :
Unplatted Waterloo East part Southeast Southeast
Section 30 Township 89 Range 12 described as follows :
Commencing at a point on Northeasterly line Lafayette
Street which point is 480 . 01 feet Southeasterly from
intersection of Northeasterly line Lafayette with the
West line Southeast Southeast said Section 30 thence
North 30 degrees 21 minutes 26 seconds West a distance
of 105 . 20 feet thence North 64 degrees 36 minutes 59
seconds West a distance of 15 feet thence North 25
degrees 07 minutes 57 seconds West a distance of 92 . 54
feet thence North 12 degrees 50 minutes 14 seconds West
a distance of 106 . 58 feet thence North 24 degrees 57
minutes 36 seconds East a distance of 59 . 44 feet to
Southwesterly right-of-way of Chicago Central and
Pacific Railroad thence South 65 degrees 05 minutes 45
seconds East along said right-of-way line a distance of
497 . 96 feet thence South 24 degrees 57 minutes 36
seconds West a distance of 263 . 49 feet to Northeasterly
line Lafayette Street thence North 65 degrees 02
minutes 24 seconds West along Northeasterly line
Lafayette Street a distance of 260 . 15 feet to point of
beginning except that part deeded to City of Waterloo
as described in Land Deed Book 560 Page 657, all in the
City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa;
and,
WHEREAS, said property is located within the designated
Consolidated Urban Revitalization Area in Waterloo, Iowa, as
previously established by the City Council of the City of
Waterloo, Iowa,
and,
WHEREAS, the improvement project respecting said property is
in conformance with the Consolidated Urban Revitalization Plan as
officially adopted by the City Council for the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, and
WHEREAS, the improvements on said property were made during
the time in which such improvements are eligible for the tax
exemption as set forth in the Consolidated Urban Revitalization
Plan as adopted by the City Council of the City of Waterloo,
Iowa, and as set forth in the Urban Revitalization Act as adopted
by the Legislature of the State of Iowa and signed by the
Governor of the State of Iowa, and
