RESOLUTION NO. 2004-561
RESOLUTION GRANTING PERMISSION TO LIGHTHOUSE
BAPTIST CHURCH FOR A WAIVER FOR A CONCRETE
DRIVEWAY TO BE LOCATED AT 300 RALSTON ROAD,
AND AUTHORIZING CONSTRUCTION OF A CONCRETE
DRIVEWAY AND PLACING A DRIVEWAY OR SIDEWALK
ON CITY RIGHT-OF-WAY ON AN UNIMPROVED STREET.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF WATERLOO, IOWA:
WHEREAS, the City Engineer has made written application to
the City Council asking that Lighthouse Baptist Church be
authorized and permitted to construct a concrete driveway and
placing a driveway or sidewalk on City right-of-way on an
unimproved street to be located at 300 Ralston Road, and legally
described as follows :
Parcel "D" Plat of Survey Document #2003-05489 being
that part of Southwest % Section 12 Township 89 Range
13 described as North 260 feet of East 680 feet of that
part said 14 lying South of Ralston Road as established
and acquired by City of Waterloo in 420 Deeds 475 and
lying West of West line of East Fourth Street, all in
the City of Waterloo, Black Hawk County, Iowa;
and
WHEREAS, it is the sense of the Council of the City of
Waterloo, Iowa, that said request should be granted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that permission is
hereby granted to Lighthouse Baptist Church to construct a
concrete driveway subject to the following conditions :
1 . Work to be performed by an approved and bonded
contractor.
2 . A permit is to be obtained from the office of the City
Engineer prior to construction.
3 . All work shall be performed under the supervision of
the City Engineer and at no cost to the City of
Waterloo.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk is authorized and
directed to forward a certified copy of this resolution to the
Black Hawk County Recorder for recording and the Black Hawk
County Auditor for filing in order that this said action may
become a matter of official County Record.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 23rd day of August, 2004 .
